Holly De Caigny is a contemporary saxophonist who strives to collaborate with a variety of artists. She has performed publicly across Canada, the United States, as well as in Slovenia, France, and Thailand. Most recently, she has toured Eastern Canada with Proteus Quartet, performed online and in person with Timepoint Ensemble, performed in free improvisation concerts with Secret Lady Project and Bug Incision, and has collaborated with composers including Colin Labadie, Vincent Ho, Jordan Nobles, and Laurie Radford. Holly maintains a busy teaching schedule at the University of Lethbridge, Mount Royal Conservatory and serves as Director of Music in the King’s Own Calgary Regiment Band.
Holly earned a Doctor of Music degree with Dr William Street at the University of Alberta, a masters degree from the University of Calgary, a bachelors degree from the University of British Columbia, and two artist diplomas from the Conservatoire Regional de Rayonnement de Boulogne-Billancourt, France.
Originally from Barons, Alberta, Raphaelle Erdman is a dedicated violinist and educator. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Alberta, where she studied under Dr. Guillaume Tardif. She has also recently completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta’s Faculté Saint-Jean, furthering her passion for teaching music.
Throughout her studies, Raphaelle has had the privilege of performing in masterclasses with renowned violinists such as Moshe Hammer, Elissa Lee, Robert Uchida, Dr. Kyung Sun Lee, and violist Rivka Golani. She has also performed with a variety of chamber and orchestral ensembles, including serving as concertmaster for the River City Chamber Orchestra, and performing with both the University of Alberta Symphony Orchestra and the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra.
Raphaelle currently runs a private violin studio and teaches music with the Edmonton Catholic School Board, where she is dedicated to helping students reach their full musical potential.
Shelley has worked in the social services sector for over 30 years. Her priority is supporting people of all ages to be the best they can. Shelley is retired and loves spending time with her family.
Bente Hansen has been a fixture in the Lethbridge musical community for the past 30 years involved in everything from community to professional theatre as keyboard player. She collaborates with numerous students at the University of Lethbridge, where she has also taught first year music theory for the past 27 years. Bente enjoys sharing her talents as much as she can, frequently going out to Southern Alberta senior residences to play free concerts. Currently, she is the pianist for the University of Lethbridge conservatory choir Sing For Joy and she just recently served as rehearsal pianist and musical director for the University's production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
