Learning English Through Singing (LETS)

AMEF is pleased to partner with the MacEwan University Conservatory of Music in offering the Learning English Through Singing (LETS) course at MacEwan University Conservatory of Music.

This innovative course will use the power of music and singing to help strengthen EAL (English as an Additional Language) students' English skills. Students will sing songs together in English while studying pronunciation and grammar. For more information, contact Conservatory@MacEwan.ca

Songs can be used as a valuable teaching and learning tool. Using songs can help learners improve their listening skills and pronunciation; they can also be useful for teaching vocabulary and sentence structures (Worthington, 2011).
