Grants

AMEF has a mandate to promote, deliver or participate in music education, workshops, camps, festivals and programs. AMEF fosters and develops among its members, and members of the public, a recognition of the importance of music education. This is accomplished, in part, through a limited number of grants available each year. Applications will be accepted online only.

Grant Criteria:

We encourage all groups to apply for funding; however, we request adherence to submission deadlines. All applications will be reviewed and considered by the Board of Directors. Applicants will be advised no later than 7 weeks after the deadline date.

Please ensure events requiring funding are scheduled a minimum of 8 weeks after submission deadlines to allow for board review and determinations.

All decisions are at the discretion of the Board of Directors and are final. A project report on the work for which funding has been received is required to be submitted within 60 days of completion of the project. See Reporting Requirements below.

Project must be in support of music education and funds granted must be spent on items directly related to music education. Proof of disbursement will be required. We recommend that you contact our Executive Director at info@amef.ca to discuss the application process and your organization's and project's eligibility.
